Blueberry Almond Milk Smoothie Bowl

Less liquid than a drinking smoothie on purpose — a bowl needs to be thick enough to hold its toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • toppings: sliced almonds, coconut flakes, fresh berries

Method

  1. 1

Add almond milk to the blender first, then blueberries, banana, and almond butter.

  2. 2

Blend on high, stopping to scrape down the sides — use less liquid than you think you need; the goal is a thick, spoonable consistency, not a pourable one.

  3. 3

If it's too thick to blend, add liquid just 1 tablespoon at a time.

  4. 4

Pour into a bowl and arrange toppings before serving immediately.
