Country-Style Pork Ribs with BBQ Glaze
Braising the ribs low and slow, covered, before glazing and broiling is what makes them fall-apart tender — going straight to the grill leaves them tough and chewy.

Ingredients
- 3 lbs boneless country-style pork ribs
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 cup sugar-free BBQ sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1
Preheat oven to 300°F. Season ribs with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- 2
Place ribs and onion in a baking dish, pour in chicken broth, and cover tightly with foil.
- 3
Braise 2-2.5 hours until the ribs are completely fork-tender — this low, slow, covered braise is what breaks down the tough connective tissue; skip straight to grilling and the ribs stay chewy.
- 4
Remove from the braising liquid, brush generously with BBQ sauce.
- 5
Broil 4-5 minutes, or grill over medium-high heat, until the glaze is caramelized and slightly charred at the edges.
