Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cubed
  • 1/2 cup coconut yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • salt to taste

    Mix coconut yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, garlic, ginger, and salt together.

    Toss the chicken cubes in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate overnight — the acid in the yogurt and lemon juice gently tenderizes the meat over that time, breaking down muscle fibers much the way a longer cook time would.
