Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Method

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and let it brown undisturbed for 3-4 minutes before breaking it apart — this builds a flavorful browned crust on the bottom of the pan instead of just gray, steamed meat.

    Add the onion and cook 3-4 minutes until softened.

    Stir in chili powder and cumin, cooking 1 minute until fragrant.
