Smoky Spiced Popcorn
Tossing the seasoning onto the popcorn while it's still hot from the pot is what makes the spices actually stick, instead of just falling to the bottom of the bowl.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tbsp dairy-free butter, melted
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt

Heat avocado oil in a large pot over medium-high heat, add 2-3 popcorn kernels, and cover — once those test kernels pop, the oil is ready.

Add the remaining kernels in an even layer, cover, and shake occasionally, popping until the pops slow to several seconds apart.

Immediately pour the hot popcorn into a large bowl.

While it's still hot, drizzle with melted dairy-free butter and toss immediately with smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt — seasoning it while it's still steaming hot is what makes the spices actually stick to the popcorn; cooled popcorn is too dry and the spices just sink to the bottom of the bowl.
